The music you listen to every day is heavily influenced by legendary men and women of Blues - like BB King, Junior Wells, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Willie Dixon, Etta James and Koko Taylor- which have been adapted and advanced by contemporary artists from Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Jonny Lang, Susan Tedeschi, The Black Crowes, Robert Cray, John Mayer, Melissa Etheridge and many others.
You may think of these artists and songs as simply "rock-and-roll," and that's okay. But rock music has blues at its soul.
Blues Torch explores all these influences and makes these tunes our own. From "covers" of great blues and blues-rock songs to original Blues Torch compositions, the result is always energetic, powerful and sure to get your feet stompin'.
Our trademark is powerful, soulful female vocals backed by a tight rhythm section, expressive guitars, virtuoso keys and saxophone. Our lead vocalist is backed-up by male harmonies, and occasional male lead vocals on venerable tunes like "Dangerous Mood" and "Georgia", among others.
